Que du plaisir

Its summer and all I want is Laduree Macaroons. Unfortunately I dont live close to a Laduree shop. So I decided to make them myself. My favourite: Citron. They are particularly moorish! If you fancy them as much as I do, I got you a little recipe here:

Lemon Cream
160g Sugar, Zest of 1 Lemon, 2 tsp cornstarch, 3 eggs, 110ml lemon juice, 235g softened butter.

Shells:
275g ground almond flour, 250g icing sugar, 6.5 egg whites, 210g sugar, Yellow food colouring.
Mix all the ingredients for the Lemon cream on little heat, and cool in the fridge for 12 hours in a little container.

- For the shell, beat the egg whites and fold it with the rest of the mixture and add the food colouring.
Bake the shells for 12 min. 150degrees.
When cooled, add the lemon cream on one half of the shell and put the other shell on top.
Again refrigerate them for 12 hours and Voila.
